Play Netball run social netball competitions around Melbourne. We aim to provide a simple & easy way for you and your team to get involved in an enjoyable weekly game of netball.
ARE THE VENUES INDOOR OR OUTDOOR?
All venues are indoors, so rain, hail or shine your game will always go ahead. All our competitions also play standard netball rules, so no playing off the nets with us!
HOW MANY VENUES ARE THERE?
We’ve currently got venues in Ivanhoe, Knox & Mt Waverley; however, we’ll be soon spreading the Netball love to more local suburbs! Head to the Venues section to find your local Play Netball centre!

DOES THE STANDARD VARY BETWEEN EACH COMPETITION AND NIGHT?
Yes, the standard of play does vary throughout each competition, however, we have leagues to cater for all skill levels. Please call or email us for specific information regarding your league of choice.
CAN I JOIN ON MY OWN OR DO I NEED TO ENTER WITH A TEAM?
Making your own team is definitely the easiest way to get involved, however we will always do our best to get teamless souls a game, just enter your details at 'Join a Team’ if this is you.
WHAT DO I DO IF OUR TEAM HAS TO FORFEIT A GAME?
Why Forfeit? If you’re short on players you can bring along fill ins! Everyone looks forward to their weekly game of Netball so we try and do whatever we can to get a game going! If you're still struggling the first thing to do is contact the Play Netball Competition Manager ASAP. Forfeit fees do as we still have to pay the Umpires and Court Hire at the Venue even though there is no game!
WHAT UNIFORM IS REQUIRED TO PLAY NETBALL?
We’re more interested in getting you involved than exactly what you wear, so it’s pretty casual! Basically the same colour team shirts and shoes with a non-marking sole are the main requirements. We provide all the bibs, so whether you want to wear a netball skirt, leggings or shorts its up to you.
