Netball: A brief overview

History of Netball
Netball originated from a school in England called as netball school. So the name originated as netball. The cardinal difference between soccer and rugby is that in the netball the ball is of spheroid shaped and in the soccer it is of round shape. Another difference is that in netball players are allowed to pick up the ball and run with it while in the soccer it is termed as a major foul. In netball the players are allowed to throw the ball from player to player but only in backward or sideways direction whereas in American football another game that is similar to rugby they are allowed to throw in any direction.
Netball Union , Netball League, Netball Sevens, American football and Canadian football have all descended from Netball Football. Netball sevens and netball unions share the same governing body that is IRB.
